Who do you work with?

I specialize in working with professional photographers, designers, artists and small businesses in commercial and retail markets. I work with professionals that recognize the significant role visual messages and written language play in branding, marketing, customer on boarding, customer experience, and customer retention. They also understand that their website and social platforms need to operate as a marketing tool that work together.


How long have you been doing this and how did you become an expert in content strategy for small businesses?

I have worked with professional creatives and small businesses for 15+ years. I formally launched my company LLC in 2012. 

Through these experiences I have gained the perspectives of both the suppliers and buyers of creative services and content in a range of markets. This has enabled me to know why, what, where, and how your content messages need to be communicated for your audience to understand your unique value proposition and to act on your calls to action. I have 15+ years of experience working with creative professionals and companies in a wide range of commerce and art markets. Through these experiences I understand the unique challenges and opportunities that content strategy offers businesses. The clients who have the best results are the ones who show up for themselves and for others. They are motivated to succeed and responsive to constructive criticism. 

I approach every project with empathy, curiosity, and a mission to help you achieve your goals. I provide structure, guidance, support, and encouragement. Because I want you to succeed I will also offer constructive criticism. You are expected to be an active partner in the success of your goals. Your success depends upon many things, including your motivation and focus.

I have processes designed for photographers, creative professionals, and small businesses. Please see my Services page for more information. I tailor my process to your unique needs and goals.


Do you have a specific process?

Yes. My approach to my client work follows steps that build on each other. They are also singular in that every step offers stand-alone value. My process is flexible to meet the needs of my clients where they need it most.

Zoom video meetings, Google Docs, and Lightroom are the primary programs I use that make my process accessible and collaborative from wherever you are.

How do I get started?

After you first email me I will send you a short questionnaire to fill out and send back. This is confidential and will help me come to our first conversation prepared to discuss your unique needs and how I can best meet them. After I review the questionnaire we will schedule an introductory call. In our conversation we will go over your responses, cover where you are and where you want your business to be, and how I can help you get there.


When can we start?

We can usually schedule our first introductory call within a week after you return a short questionnaire, and begin working together one to two weeks from then. This also depends on your responsiveness and my availability.


How long does this take?

My process follows a series of steps that are collaborative and depend on your responsiveness and availability.

A website assessment, edit, and positioning project can take 1 - 3 months depending on the scope.

Individuals and groups can continue after this to maintain the strategy we put in place.


Do you have regular office hours?

My business hours are 9am - 5pm E.S.T., Monday through Friday. I generally schedule video meetings and phone calls between 9:30am – 2:30pm. Email support between meetings is offered, however if a question requires extended writing time we move to our next video meeting or a quick phone call.


What types of payment do you accept and do you offer payment plans?

I accept checks, most major credit cards with FreshBooks, and Paypal. In some cases you can pay in installments depending on the scope of work. This may be considered a tax-deductible business expense.


Is this confidential?

Yes. I understand that we may be discussing your future plans, customers, work information, and other potentially private information. I will not use your private information for my own benefit or for a third party’s.
